Wiki guide

A short guide to the structure and conventions of the archived wiki.

The fawkeZ wiki was published with Trac, a web based project management and issue tracking system. Trac combines a wiki, an interface to version control, and views for tickets, milestones and project activity.

This page replaces the imported Trac help pages with a short guide to reading the archive.

How the archive is structured

  • Project hubs introduce each project and summarise its purpose.
  • Wiki pages hold the long form documentation, at their original addresses.
  • Utility pages reproduce the timeline, roadmap, source tree and ticket reports.

Reading conventions

Original wiki page names used CamelCase, for example GettingFawkeZ or JcReport. The names are preserved in the addresses and in cross references, even where the visible page title is now a normal sentence.

Code samples are shown exactly as they appeared, except that a few long configuration dumps have been trimmed to the parts that are explained in the surrounding text.

About Trac

Trac is distributed under the modified BSD license. The complete license text is available on the Trac project site and in the COPYING file of the distribution. The Trac software was created by Edgewall Software.

The about page describes how the archive was rebuilt, and the title index lists every page.

Static edition This archive is a static rendering. Editing, login and ticket creation are not available here. The original project source and issue history remain the authoritative record.
