About the archive

The fawkeZ pages were published with Trac, a web based project management and issue tracking system. This page describes that software and the static edition you are reading.

About Trac

Trac is a web based software project management and bug tracking system that emphasises ease of use and low ceremony. It provides an integrated wiki, an interface to version control systems, and a number of convenient ways to stay on top of events and changes within a project.

Trac is distributed under the modified BSD license. The complete text of the license can be found online and in the COPYING file included in the distribution.

The fawkeZ installation ran Trac 0.11.1. The archive you are reading preserves the visible pages of that installation in a static form.

This static edition

The pages were rebuilt with semantic HTML, a self hosted Bulma base and a project specific theme. The text was carried over from the archived wiki, with formatting and page structure updated so that the material is easier to read on a phone and on a large screen.

  • All eighteen wiki pages are present at their original addresses.
  • The timeline, roadmap, source listing and report catalogue are reproduced with their recorded data.
  • Account screens from the original installation are shown as static forms and do not create accounts.

Software credits

Trac was created by Edgewall Software and written in Python. The original site also used Subversion for version control and Apache Ant and Maven for the build.

Reading the record Where the original pages were incomplete, this edition says so rather than filling the gap. Pages whose bodies never existed are named in the title index and marked as limited content.
